Changing rear view mirrors all together is an option though, I suppose. I love their design...

I would love a couple of these actually! Love the idea... Just need to know what might fit and what to buy. I bet if you measured the diameter of the stem and its length they could tell you if they make something that would fit...

How are you guys running your power wires? Right now I have the coiled wire down to the lighter, but I hate that thing dangling down across the windshield, so I've mounted the detector on the dash more or less against the windshield. I also place it as far to the left as I can to keep it as close to my line of sight as I can.
You can see it to the right of the pod:

I use stock valentine suction cups and just route my wire to the fuse box via the door panel and my detector has never fallen.

Stock valentine suction cups never worked for me...
I don't know about having the detector down on the dash, I think it needs to be as high as possible and have the best range. When a cop looks in my 928 there is no way he can see my detector above the mirror.

I use the suction cup of an older model GPS that I had laying around and added a tray to it to hold the V1 it pick up signals just as well and is easy to remove or install and never falls down.
I may reroute the wire but haven't made up my mind yet.

Yes it will. just requires very slight modification - actually, now that I think about it, I think they offer a model for the 9500, but I was able to easily adapt my V1 mount to accept the 9500.
Your right hand might work...
However there may be something in the near future that will compensate for the lack of of a mount.
