Heinrich... Not from Vancouver but visit the city several times a year. If you are interested, we always stay at The Meridian at 910 Beach. Its an apartment hotel and therefore reasonable cost. Right on False Creek, two minute water taxi to Grandville Island, Twenty minutes water taxi to BC Place. I only mention this because we were to go about the same time and there were rooms and suites available.

Hi H, Sorry I am not set up for guests but have you tried Priceline.com? Using "name your own price" you should be able to book the Marriot/Hyatt/Delta downtown for $75 (plus tax). If you want to save a couple bucks stay by the Van Airport (Richmond) a 2.5 star hotel (Coast) should be around $45 a night (plus tax).
