I've seen the new setup. Machine work is nice with a spherical bearing.

New short shift design eliminates the need for the front shift rod and ball cup. That's huge!

Jim,

You are correct new shifter eliminates the ballcup and front shift rod.

H,
The OP has a 84> so 85< short shifters will not work for his car I am afraid.

Was there a product release thread on Rogers kit?

Anybody got a link to the goodies?

It may be something I want to look into for my 928 project.

No product release just yet.
I have all the parts and just need to print the instructions.
By the way it is flying out the door I don't need any product announcement 8>)

Details Roger! This sounds like something I'd order, and I already have a short shifter in my car!

Hmm, maybe me too. How hard is the job to swap out and replace? What are the steps?

I've got one on the track car. Hardest part for me was getting the old front rod and ball cup out of the way..after that...piece of cake Nothing like a nicely machined chunk of metal
