Default Spoiled in AZ - monthly car show

There are many benefits living in Scottsdale, AZ even besides the great weather most of the year. It's finally cooling down a little!

I get to regurlarly see some fantastic cars on the road here around Scottsdale. Pretty common to see Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches on a drive around town, or to and from work.

There is a monthly car show in Scottsdale that really isn't a part of any car "club", but just a loose knit group of exotic car guys that show up first Saturday morning of every month. Today's show was over the top and I can't help but try and list some of the cars that were there... INCREDIBLE!!!

Before anyone says it, I know this thread is worthless without pics, but I forgot to take my camera I'm sure you can find some of the pictures on www.ferrarichat.com , scroll down to Regional Areas - USA West and click on Arizona...

Anyway here's a partial list from memory just from today:

Bugatti Veyron (seen it 3 times now, amazing)
Ferrari - F40, 599's, new California spider, multiple 430, 360, Testarossa, 355, 348, 308, 246GTS (beautiful yellow Dino w/ wire wheels!)
Lamborghini - multiple Murcielago, Gallardo, Diablo
Porsche - Carrera GT, RUF 930 slantnose, GT3RS, 996 GT3, 928GT(!)
Mercedes 300SL Gullwing
Bentley GT Coupe
AC Cobra - multipile real and replica
Ford - GT's, GT350
Corvettes - a gaggle of them
Pantera
Maserati's new coupe
Aston Martin's new coupe
Misc. Austin Healeys, MGs, Alfas

I'm sure I forgot some, but if you're ever in the area, you really need to stop by and see it. Any of the local guys should come out, you won't be disappointed. SEC Doubletree and Scottsdale Rd., 1st Sat. morning every month.

Talked to a guy at a car show today that thought about buying a Veyron until he found out about the maintenance. $40K every 2500 miles but does include tires, and an extra $40K at 7500 intervals for Wheels.

Alan, Chuck, you guys need to come out to see this. Mark the 1st Saturday in November on your calendars. November weather should be perfect for another great turnout. Would be very cool to have a nice group of 928's show up

RKD, I would think if a guy has the bucks to buy a Veyron, he wouldn't be too worried about maintenance costs, even at $40k a pop. I remember hearing maintenance costs on a McClaren were insane too.

You would think, but there are several guys in my local PCA that have lots of bucks and more than one exotic supercar. Maintenance cost is an issue to them despite their deep pockets. Maybe it's because OKC doesn't have a local dealer.

Makes sense. I'm sure if it were me and I had that kind of money, I would still look at maintenance costs as well. I guess that's how they keep more of their money, especially if they earned it in the first place. Don't blame them a bit for that!
