Default Nashville $69 alignment from former Porsche Tech

I took the shark in today to Goodyear in Madison TN to get the alignment and with luck a new Hunter machine and their alignment guy used to work at a Porsche dealership. We just did a lot of work under the car so I knew it was way time for the alignment. Took him 2 hours to align. As he started to align the car I walked back into the shop and ask “are you scratching your head yet”? Not knowing he used to work at a dealership I was just trying to feel him out to make sure I had the car at the right place. He turned and said “not even close” With this being said I was very relieved, went inside and let the man work. $69 plus tax. As I left I was amazed the steering wheel was actually straight and the car drives amazingly…. I can’t believe the difference. So if you are in the Nashville area and need this service this is the place to be. I later spoke with the tech and he said the alignment was in really bad shape but he had it dialed in now.

They quoted me $69 on the phone and even though it was a Porsche they honored this price.

I am living in Cookeville TN, just down the road. Do you know if any good mechanics that work between Nashville and Cookeville?

I have a guy here in Jackson, TN that does an excellent job for $75 and about an hour and half labor. Didn't look to see exactly what machine it was, but it is one of the new computer laser machines. He let me watch him the whole time and told me everything he was doing. I still made sure to tell him not to lift the car. I was very pleased with him and will be seeing him shortly again.

Anyone know a shop near Buffalo N.Y. that will?

Isnt it amazing that when a job is done right , things work??? why do you think your aligment was so messed up? Ill tell you this, it wasnt from the mileage, or hitting a curb or two, it was because the last guy that touched your alignment was a baffoon! I think I had 120race days over 7 years before I really checked my alignement, and replaced a tie rod at one point measuring things with a measuring tape and level. Still, after 7 years, the alignment was perfect and car always tracked straight.
Glad you found someone that "gets it". Its really not rocket science, but $69 is a great price, but it shouldnt have taken him 2 hours!
