I think LH has a flood-clear mode. With a good battery, press accelerator to floor and turn key to start position. It may take 30 seconds, which will seem like forever, but it should start. It will smoke for a few seconds then settle down. That is if it is flooded.

To clear flooded engine, I would agree easiest way is to remove FP fuse, hold throttle to WOT and crank until the engine fires on a few cylinders. Then replace FP fuse but still try to start at WOT, as it fires on more and more cylinders you can ease off the throttle until it idles correctly.
