Be prepared to spend big bucks for an oem one. Not many around because the area where the metal shift shaft goes int is plastic and breaks over time. There are lots of nice aftermarket ones.

I would recommend the one at 928stuff.com as a replacement, if your vehicle has the in dash gear selection. However, you can pick up which looks like a used one at garage9.com for $180.00.....

We have some used factory ones that may need some minor repair for a good price but near perfect ones bring big money.

I have one that came off of my 91 928 S4. I have the boot, T-shifter, spring and what looks to be a 6 or 7 inch spring loaded shaft. Let me know if you are interested.

So what tends to break on these critters, and how could I confirm my leftover one is healthy and worthy of re-use somewhere?

I will have some of the following in stock when I get back from vacation.
I have 8 waiting for me at the shop.

I will post a separate thread with details and prices. I will offer them with my own leather covers and hand stitching and I will also offer package deals including my full boots for those who want a set.

If anyone wants to reserve one, please drop me an email, as production on these is sporadic at best.

Thanks

Paul

The area where the 2 screws hold it to the shaft usually is bad )cracked/missing pieces) from over tightening.
