2009 3rd Coast Event (Nov 6-8)
928ers,
It’s that time again! Time to saddle up and head down to the beautiful Texas Hill Country for the 2009 3rd Coast Event! We’ll be back at Marble Falls again this year for Food, Drink, 928s, and the best thing about this event, THE PEOPLE!!!
Attached is the flyer for this year’s event, but here’s the skinny:
Event Dates: Nov 6-8, 2009
Where: Marble Falls, TX
Hotel: Hampton Inn. Call now to reserve your room. Make sure to reference the 3rd Coast 928 Gathering.
Room Rates are $100/night for City View and $110/night for the Lake View.
Friday-Plan on arriving in time for the 7pm get together at the River City Grill next to Chili’s. We’ll be on the patio overlooking the lake and if the weather is a little chilly, we’ll have heaters outside. (Bring warm clothes just in case)
Saturday-Saddle up for the fun run through the Hill Country. (Make sure to bring your radios so you can keep in touch with the group)
That evening we’ll have a welcome reception at the Riverbend art gallery from 6-7pm. (Wine, cheese, beer, good stuff!)
Following the art Gallery, we’ll be at The River City Grill for our “formal night” with a private room. Bring your appetites, the steaks are great!!
Sunday-we’ll have a BBQ sponsored by 928s R US. Good food and giveaways at Johnson Park Pavilion 3, about a ½ mile from the Hampton.
Also, for those of you not already part of the 928 Owners Club, we’ll have signup sheets and information for you there.
Look for updates and posts on Rennlist as we get closer to the event. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a shout back.
(Please pass the word by printing this out to anyone in your local group that I don’t have on dist list or if they do not have access to Rennlist)
Looking forward to seeing everyone this year!!
Take care!
Chuck

So bummed...thought the gang was going to stop by this yet... oh, well... I should be around (unless I actually end up with a job and am off at training or something) so if you want to stop by on the way out on Sunday or come over on Sat at some point just let me know... Who knows how many 928's will be here... 5, 6, 7 of mine...who knows!

I made arrangements for the days off, the car is back from the body shop and all is well for the trip.
Cheryl, it will be cool enough for your car even if it's not done by then.

Booked. My bride and I will be there smilin'. Maybe by then I'll have my cold idle hunt solved.
Hey - What's the deal with the radios for Saturdays ride? I thought they were frequency specific etc. I'm a reformed motorscooter head and have never been on an organized (or disorganized) car run. Clearly I'm radiologically challenged. I don't know anything about radios either.
