If there is enough demand, that would not be a problem. It's just not as practical as the later design.

I want the original design too. Seems it might be easier to make, as it appears to be just a pattern and some snaps and a pole, but I don't claim to know how to sew a button let alone something like this :-)

The original design seems far simpler than the later design.
A flat sheet of material with female snaps in a number of locations.
The material needs to be of the correct makeup - to resist the sun and heat effect.
Also needs finishing around the edges.

I need at least 5 and as no one else in the World currently makes them and Porsche can no longer supply I would have thought that this is an ideal market.
You make it I will sell it 8>)

and also a stiffining bar with a 90 degree bend in it on each side along the edge that snaps onto the underside of the back seats.

Yes what Ed said - just checked mine.
The snaps at the rear seat connection are different as well.

I would need an original cover, with complete hardware, in order to make the template. Then I will need access to an early car to refine the template.

Sourcing the snaps might be a challenge since they will need to be exact matching in order to mate with the original.
