Looks like I am getting this one back on the road. I'm supposed to pick it up tomorrow.

I am glad to see some of my 1988 parts lives in other 928s. Did they replace the door? Looks like it was very pricey.

Thanks for everyone's help with cheap parts.
I had no expirience with this and bought a few parts that didn't fit.
So for everyone else embarking on such a project, be aware of model year. I found out the hard way that a rocker panel and hinge pilar is different from '86 to '91. The shop was able to pull it all out and rebuild it.
I replaced the door and the body shop cut the front section of my damaged fender and welded it to the back section of the '86 fender that I bought from a salvage yard advertising it as an '87 fender.
I am still missing a front and rear fender liner and a marker light, but it will be perfect soon.
The entire project cost me a lot less then initially quoted by some other shops. So I think it was worth to put it back together.

HI Nicole,

the other side is amber, but an all clear front on this car would probably look nice. I will see if the old one turns up somewhere, but if not, I will need one.
thanks,

yes, they rebuilt the rocker and the hinge pillar. the only part used was the door and part of an old fender...
