Yeah, I've heard size does matter... and 27.1" definitely sounds too tall! I was looking at 265/30 and 275/30-19's that is closer to the 25" +/- ideal.

I'd been reading that the KDW2's were a very good handling/sticky tire in the dry, except for maybe the noise. Sounds like your experience was different?

if your rim is 9-10" wide then a 275 is great, if the rim is 10.5 I would go 285, if 11" then 295.

The 27.1" does fit if the offset is proper.

The KDW2s (new tread pattern) is what I had/have on the rear of my car, I had FAR more grip with 275/40R17 Fulda Quantum Elites on the rear with a 9" rim as supposed to these tires. I was unimpressed with the grip they had. I have heard of much better reviews from the KD. But again they are ONLY in 18" selection!!!! I cannot comment on the noise as the car was gutted and had a loud exhaust. The one GOOD thing I can say is that the KDWs are predictable when you are sliding them and when you break free in a slide they regrip quickly. They are an ok street tire, but lack at the track for sure. I figured with the extra diameter and width the car would have much better grip off the line. This was not the case with these tires, 1st gear was even more useless if I gunned it. I also didnt find that the grip improved much if any when the rubber got hot either.

Very happy with my 18" I thought I didn't like 19" but then I saw a 928 with them that did look good. But again happy with my 18's.
