My dad has a 1959 XK150 coupe [cream white/red interior] in his garage in Arlington. He bought it back in the late sixties, restored it and still has it in great condition today. The old XK's bring back lots of good memories.

Default Because there where no P-Cars in Jamaica...

The only time I didn't own a P-car was during my seven years tour in Jamaica... but I did own the only two convertible XK 150's on the island. The one of the right was an early S model two gear shift one for the tranny and one for the over drive (this was factory original as the proto-type prior to the electric solenoid on the dash

XJ 220 Jaguar. Its a shame how they made this car, as it has so many special parts in it and the replacements are hart to get,\.
For example it has 2 fuel tanks and they are the race car type with foam inserts, and they degrade so if your not driving the car ( letting it sit for months on end)the fuel tank will fail internally after a few years, once fuel is put into it it wont all come out

Anti-delete posterity preservation

I mean it seriously...

You see (and my last serious post in this thread)... In my world.....

This thread is what Rennlist is all about. When it started - folks were tearing each other apart in this forum? And for what? No - really - for what??

Roger edited his original thread title to "Please Delete" - and while I was watching this Forum for a long time - I didn't want to "over-turn" the "apple cart" by posting a new thread with "What's up with the 928 Forum"?...

Rather - I chose Roger's thread to post in - and if the 928 folks could just - well - be "you"...

And you know what?

You all have. And you all did... That's to your collective credit.. Certainly NOT mine. Hell's Bell's I don't even own a 928. BUT - just like you - I do own, work on, and love my P'cars. And just like most of you - yep - I too do my own work... Which is why we just "all do this thing"....

So - in my world.. Just as me - when Jen & I started PorscheList/Rennlist in early of 1998 - you folks are what we envisioned Porsche ownership to be all about. You folks are just like us... And yea - Rennlist is now under new "management" - but, well - for that - I'm still just like "you" - I'm just "me"....

So yea - don't delete yourself from this thread. Or this Forum - or even this site. If you do - we all lose something...

This post may self-delete in a few minutes...

Or not...

Just as me... And yea - too - RV posted a link to a post I made about 928s a long time ago... I still smile when I have the chance to drive one - or simply - participate in this forum...

Thanks for that....

John D.

Considering this is a thread about, well, nothing, (except for what John D said, see above) it should be noted that the first official guest on the new Jay Leno show was the Porsche guy himself, the King of Nothing, Jerry Seinfeld!
He actually wasn't that funny - he never is outside of his classic show. Otherwise, Jay's show wasn't too bad. I'll watch again.
