Leaking Radiator Side Tank

So, at worst, we need to get somebody with a digital plasma cutter to whack a billion feet of this strip?
Does it need the teeth?
Or, would a flat strip suffice if a couple of metal breaks are made. Maybe a little lighter in gauge?

Hi Dave,
Glad you joined in - after I did the searches I found a number of fixes using this method - standard practice on some rads. Standard terminology is "crimping" and there are kits for some tanks. Seems to be the way it was done way back when. I did not mean to infer you had copied the idea because I know you did not...... .

Anyway yes, like most email and web forum chatter the original intent is sometimes lost. I did take it the wrong way when I first read your post, but should have known better and just gave you a call as we usually do. Please accept my apology if I came off shooting from the hip.
Now all that being said; I think this is a great find by you and it proves my Idea was a solid one. I can attest to the fact that the clips do work if you can source them for or 928 community as bending the existing tabs does deform the very surface that forms the channel for the seal.
