What's travel time from D.C.? About time i saw a bit more of the countryside. We'll see whether my 928 sells this weekend, or whether I have to risk trying to sneak in with a GM product....

on my calendar.
not sure I'll be able to stay the whole weekend, but will plan to attend. I had recently posted a question about sharks owners in the Greater Cincinnati area... I live in N KY just across the river. only got one reply.
regarding the 'fun and games'. a guy at work recently moved here from California. was a bit taken aback by two names he encoutered here. Cornhole and Big Bone Lick. neither were what he initially thought.
Greg, thanks for hosting such an event and I really look forward to meeting some other shark owners.
PS. most probably know the Porsche Escape weekend is 10/1-4 in Dayton, OH. and don't be confused by my avitar, that is the track car. the 928S is my DD.

SMTCapeCod - It is ~520 miles from Lexington to DC area. I'd estimate ~ 7.5 - 8 hours depending on traffic.
911tracker85 - Greg's computer is down at present due to technical issues, but he said "come on down".

Sounds like a good time. The date for the Peachstate Dyno Day has changed to the 17th so everyone enjoy your shrimp and steak in Kentucky and then head south the next weekend for burgers and brats.
Hmm, should I head south to Daytona or north to Kentucky?

Hello all,
This event will not have a hammered-in-stone itinerary..... Just show up anytime after noon on Friday, and stay as late as you'd like on Sunday......
Friday evening, I figure we'd just chill, and you can do whatever you'd like......
Tinker in the garage, sit by the fire, play corn-hole,.... There's a pretty good assortment of places to eat in Georgetown, and I figured we might all just go out to eat on Friday night.....
Saturday, we'll go for a drive in the early afternoon, and pig-out somewhere around 6pm.....
Again, everything's pretty loose,..... We can do whatever you want to do, whenever you want to do it.....
I hope most will stay here and camp-out both nights, either indoors or out.....
And you're welcome to take showers here,..... Just bring a towel......
If you'd rather not rough it, I got a $44.99 / night rate at the Day's Inn right up the road...... 502-863-5000 .... Just ask for Roger, and mention my name for the rate.....
There are plenty of other hotels nearby too....
My e-mail address is schickelg@bellsouth.net, and my number is 502-863-5144, if you have any questions or suggestions...
