you may laugh, but I bolted an old 928 window sprayer motor on top of a large clean tank full of trani fluid. Then added 12 volts to the sprayer motor and pumped the ATF fluid into the tani with a long hose. It worked, but the little window fluid motor overheated right at the end of the job. Maybe there's a way to find a better pump because doing the hand pump with 1 quart at a time is just exhausting and takes forever.

Can't you buy it in the gallon bottle? I used a hand pump and a gallon container to do my 5 speed. It was actually one of the easiest jobs I ever had to do on this car.

Yes. The Sta-Lube hand pump threads right on the Castrol gallon Dexron bottle, and also on the Mobil-1 quart. Pretty simple in the giant scheme of things.

But the original question was why nobody could tell him how the factory did it. Why couldn't anybody tell him how the factory did it?
