Default 4.5L rebuilt Short block FS, includes Heads and cams disassembled and cleaned.

I coated the pistons with low-friction skirts and ceramic tops.

I also have replaced:

New Rod bearings
New Front seal
New Piston rings

Its all cleaned up and ready to reassemble with heads, etc. (Which will be included, but disassembled and cleaned)

Also, I went through all the head stud threads with chasers.

800 dollars so I can recoup some of what I put into it.

If the price is too high, let me know. Also, I have pics of the build:

If someone buys it, I will throw in the heads. They are cleaned and disassembled. All parts accounted for.

In 82, I thought it was 9. But I could be wrong.

I also have the 82 cams for this engine. And the lifters I suppose. I powdercoated the cam towers and was planning on keeping those. I suppose I could add those in for a small amount just to cover the powdercoating.

So I guess I am selling not a short block, but a long block. NO intake items though.

My old 4.5L with the 1982 cams made 330 HP with 6# of boost.

This seems...unsatisfactory...to me. I'm not fully conversant on boost in the 928, but is 6psi a large number? I think the WRX turbo is pushing something like 12 or 13 psi stock.

Block still for sale. Comes with heads and cams and maybe the cam boxes, which were powdercoated. Coolant bridge also powdercoated.

Brendan, Would you like to cost sending the lot to Adelaide, Australia? See what that is worth and I could be interested.

Cheers Roy

Can I just send it home with Mark Webber, the F1 driver?

Just kidding.

I don't know how I would do that, but I could check.

Just to be clear, I would also give a good discount for someone that is local to me in SoCal.

Roy, your best bet is to get a freight-forwarding company like excessbaggage.com to pick it up and ship it.

If Brendan gives you the dimensions and weight of it when crated, you can get quotes. Also give cargoonline.com.au a call - not sure if they do engines, but I've used them to ship whole cars. They organise pickup, customs and port charges, and optionally delivery at your end, depending how close to the docks in Adelaide you are.
