I use Zaino-CS sealant on my white car - its instructions say it can be applied on top of wax, but the wax has to be fully cured first. I don't bother - just a couple of coats of sealant after polish (2 coats makes no difference to shine - I just do it in 2 passes to make sure I don't miss spots as easily).

Don't polish obsessively until your car is better sorted - given the issues you've had to date, I'd spend that extra time working on it

It's true - as I found out in the first 3 months of ownership: it can look like a million bucks in your garage, but if it doesn't start, it's just another piece of junk that you spent way too much money on.

Makita variable polisher. Thing has been used to death on four cars every month and still is like brand new. Felt bottom pads and way I go.
