If the module lid has been spray painted a slightly darker color and the hybrid is replaced with a huge board that requires a resistor to the right of the hybrid base (R106) to be bent over to provide clearance, that is a rebuild by Fuel Injection Corp. I've had several customers who have these rebuilt once modules fail and they once again require a rebuild.

Ok pulled the LH to get ready for tomorrow and test in Pauls car... found some thing interesting...
The LH seems to have been rebuilt before.
It has two white stickers across the removeable panel on the back saying Guarantee Void if Seal Broken." There are also obvious signs that the cover was off before these seals were put on. Not a factory looking seal in other words.
Does this point to a specific company? I know one rebuilder has a 3 year Guarantee... though I am sure my luck is that this unit is 3 years and 1 day since it was rebuilt.
That is... if this turns out to be the problem.
Anyway... does anyone have any information I might be able to use to track whom rebuilt this?... if there is even any way.

I do not want to open the box yet. If it has any warrenty left... it will be void if I break those seals.
That said I will check those other issues tonight. Paul is coming back over to run a couple more tests and then plug my LH into his car. I will print out your suggestions and hit them all.
The reason I repaired the injector wires was not because I found a short. I could not get any to short... also none were actually touching. That said...in time I am sure they would deteriorate more and definately cause an issue. I just wanted to eliminate another posibility.
If it turns out to be the LH then I will take it from there... IE... open or send back to rebuilder.

If the LH does prove to be faulty, and it is one of my rebuilds I will honour the warranty, whether it is less or more than 3 years.
My rebuilds wil have a white label on the lid, printed "rebuilt by JDSPorsche" with a handwritten date. Inside, the tile replacement is quite distinctive with a JDSPorsche logo.
