There were a bunch of GT3's there....but Dave ran a low 2:00 over the top on sat, he wasn't there on sunday.....the heat wasn't helping times at all......I got my best times in the morning on both days.... If Tim got a good clear traffic lap in he could easily be 2:06 over the top or 2:04 on the bypass..... What impressed me was a custom turbo Miata on Sunday that was ripping off 1:55's all day....280whp (turbo) in a 2160lb package is FAST...that was the only car to "surprise" me in Open by appearing out of nowhere.....
One driver I was not pleased with was a guy in a full race Boxster that was in Point by both days....that guy drove like a total jerk and would not let anyone by...you could see trains of cars behind him and he wouldn't give a point to anyone, or would give a point really late on the main straight, but not lift......whats stupid is his lap times were glacial....mid 2:30's...luckily for Tim and Sam on Sunday he got the boot for being a jerk.... :>) goes back to an old motto I had when I raced bicycles..."don't worry about the guy with the high $$$ Pinarello with a full matching custom suit....he works too much to ride.....worry about the guy on the tired looking bike in ratty outfit....he spends all day riding"
