It's a good thing you don't take 400S to work in the morning

You would give me a problem, no doubt about that.

I don't want to discredit the OP, but I don't think any S4 (let alone OB) could take any C5. Sorry, just won't happen. I have too much experience with these types of Corvettes.
Must have been an inexperienced or wary driver in the vette.
Uh, oh... Who's gonna let me have it first...

LT1 has a cast iron block. The Ls1 has an aluminum block. The LS1 is much liter.

Base C5 Corvette has 345bhp @ 3246lbs
0-60 = 5.3 seconds
1/4 mile = 13.6@108

Add to that heavy, 19" aftermarket wheels, those numbers will drop.
There is also a good chance the C5 in question isn't 100% on power due to age / bad maintenance.
A well running stock C5 puts down around 300rwhp

A Euro OB is lighter than an S4 + the power they make (as others pointed out in this thread).

I have quite a bit of experience with all generation Corvette's.

I hate to say it but my ’85, when it was all stock, ran 13.7 in the ¼ and with only a chip set a 13.5sec. That’s C5 territory.

Don't argue with someone that has over 1 million posts; it doesn't make them right but they obviously have a lot more time to argue.

I know you're working this weekend while I'm in Dallas and by Monday your ADHD will present you with a new shiny object (like a clutch) and you'll have forgotten all about it.

Working this weekend involves a lot of very shiny Italian objects, so I'll be good and distracted.

Funny you should mention clutches........

That's funny!

When I became a member on 6/10/09, H-P had 32,xxx posts.

Less than a month later, he had 132,xxx posts.

Now, he has 1,032,xxx posts.

At this rate by mid August, he should have 10,032,xxx posts.

I think I detect the distinct odor of... BullScat.
