Looks like it runs on quarters and can be found in front of most grocery stores and Wal-Marts.
You guys have no idea what your talking about. The 928 spyder project has produced some kickass cars.

A Canadian enthusiast Dr "Quak " built a one a rebodied 928 BEFORE the Boxster...later a Mr Jeffery Pink attempted to produce the Spyder a few actually got built. Many many thousands of dollars later a few exist most in some state of incompletion. They pop up from time to time .....a case study in how to make a small fortune.......out of a large one !

It would be interesting to see how a sypder conversion "race car" competes against a similarly prepped 928 race car coupe...say like Andersons...since the weight is similar.... I wonder if there is any lap times quoted by the spyders

I like the street car versions of that car that I had seen...not many ever made it to the streets, but I sure thought they would be cool! Not so much as a race car though!

You lose the top, you gain some aero advantages for the straights.
But the stock 928 is pretty darned adept when you dive one into the corners.
So how much of the chassis is still left to support the wonderful coil-over suspension.
A normal 928 takes to bendy roads very nicely and one of its strong points.
The hood off shots show the triangular bracing for the wide front fender, but no engine compartment cross-bracing like what Mark Anderson had(s) on his race car.

I would bet that there is quite a bit chassis stiffness, see the interior shot and all of the internals of the roll bars going down the sides
