Default Stipped bolt

So I need some suggestions on how to remove a stripped bolt. Today i thought I would tackle an easy project replace a failed vacuum dampner on the transmission, it's only two small bolts how bad can it be. Well I stripped the bolt closest to the sensor (the one on the left hand side) I tried getting needle nose vice grips, a dremel with cutting wheel with no luck, even tried the force...apperantly im just not strong in the force....All kidding aside it's just to tight of a space to get to the bolt. I'm at a loss on what to do any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you mean you rounded the head off or the bolt is turning but the threads are stripped.

There are two socket head cap screws and a bracket holding the vacuum actuator in place.

Those bolts don't require much force to break them free. Apparently you stripped out the socket with the wrong size wrench.

With the correct wrench it should be removable. Otherwise use a dremel to cut a slot for a flat blade screw driver or drill off the head. Not much room to work in there so you may need special dental equipment. You might want to drop the exhaust and heat shields.

If he has rounded out cap screws, he needs spiral extractors, let me see if I can find a picture of them.

There is a kit by Irwin for removing stripped bolts. It is basically a set of sockets which are a bit larger then the original bolt head. ON the inside of the sockets there is a spiral. This set does wonders. It is in a blue box and home depot or ace should have it.
