I'm curious as to why you're flexible on everything but the color. You'll be much more likely to find something in Meteorgrey Metallic in that year range (I think) but when I'm looking for a car, especially one over 20 years old, the color is the last thing I would worry about if it's in good shape and not neon green or something like that. well if its in top condition and it doest need anything, I think the price is okay. but thats probobly not the case.
go on craiglist and search on all the cities, there is a way to do that instead of one city at a time, but I dont remember how.

I use crazedlist.com to do a wider search.

most silver cars are 16v and they have S spoilers am I the only one that thinks the S spoilers ruin the shape of the 928? I guess it's a matter of taste

so you want a silver 85 86 that came with no spoiles ? the ones that came with no spoiler are the late 70s 928s.

google

porsche 928 site:craigslist.org

to search all of craigslist.

So, you want a silver 32 valve 928S with the spoiler delete option. Sounds like it would be hard to find if that is even a factory color for those years.

wow, that must be rare, is this the one that was sitting for a long time before you saved it ? I do like the old cars with no spoiler.

there is a 82 silver for 4000 $, it has all the spoilers, but its a manual. its in Sanantonio, its a 16 valve but it wont hurt to check it out aparently it has 23 K in maintnace records I dont know if thats miles or dollors.
