What's missing from my belly pan? (Now with Photos)

The PO of my '88 S4 replaced the front bumper and left off a few pieces that I'm now adding back on.
I'm confused on what the leading edge of the front fibre belly pan actually bolts or attaches to. It appears that a piece may be missing from the area of the bottom of the radiator and the back end of the spoiler. Between those two pieces and the front attachment area of the fibre belly pan, there is nothing. The PET is a little confusing. Am I missing a part or am I just overlooking where the front pan should attach?
I'm also missing the two "angle" attachment pieces for the back of the rear metal belly piece. If you have a couple of these lying around I'm interested.
Thanks for any information that you can share.

I think the front of the fiber belly pan bolts to the rear underside of the spoiler. The bolt holes should line up. I have some of those angled pieces I think you are talking about. You can have them. You really need some pictures of a car with the belly pan on, or half on so you can see where it goes.

The leading edge has 5 screws in the centre flat section plus one screw each side on the "ears" that go up to the frame rail.
In the centre section the middle three screws screw through the reinforcing bar at the rear edge of the spoiler into speed nuts clipped onto a Z shaped bracket that is itself screwed to the underside of the lower radiator mount.
the outermost pair of screws of the centre section screw into a "speednut" formed in the reinforcing bar at the rear of the spoiler. (No Z brackets)
the screws on the ears screw vertically upwards into the underside of the frame rail. right next to the forwards most horizontal bolt for the "skid plate" aka the metal plate that clamps the front mount of the lower A arm
If you have an original fibre belly pan it is common for the "ears" to have broken off, as these rigidly attach the corners of the pan to the frame rail whereas all the other front mounts have some give in them.
Sorry no pics.

Great information! I'll take pics tonight and post. It appears that I'm missing the "Z Brackets." (I haven't a clue what those are but will check PET). The PO folded the rear end of the spoiler back and up to attach it via speed nets hanging off of the frame rail just under the bottom of the radiator. But those speed nuts have a purpose for something...maybe the Z bracket?
I'll have to send picks of the weird setup the PO cobbled together. I'll never buy another 928 w/o me personnally going over it. The guy doing the PPI conveniently overlooked stuff like this. Other that niggling stuff like this, it's a great car though.
BTW, Louie, I bought and installed the cxomplete front bumper cooling air directer...but took out the flaps. They looked like just something else to slow air down
Thanks.,

there is 3 brackets that supports the front edge of the belly tray to the chasis of the car which also supports the front spoiler. I just purchased some brackets from Roger a month or two back. The brackets are illustrated in PET 802-10

Here's what it looks like up front....so, I'm missing some brackets? The first foto shows the spoiler bent down and held back with a board so you can see what is probably missing. The second foto shows the spoiler in the place it was bolted when I bought it. Does this help? Thanks.

This is the plastic one that lasted a year before it meet its demise on the road. On the leading edge you can see the five holes as I mentioned above the PET only calls for three brackets to hold it in place along with the spoiler.

H2, I recently had the belly pan off my 87. One thing I noticed is that the spoiler should not be curled up towards the radiator as shown in your second photo. The trailing edge/bottom should be horizontal. In the top photo, the three brackets above the spoiler should also have the speed nuts in the horizontal position, instead of vertical. They should have a sort of z-shape. On the leading edge of the belly pan, screws go through the center three holes of the belly pan, through the three center holes of the spoiler and into the z-shaped brackets. The 4th and 5th holes (the two outer holes) are screwed into captured nuts on the spoiler.
Another note: In Shadownight's photos you can see two scoops toward the rear of the plastic bellypan. At the trailing edge of each scoop there is a hole. A screw goes into each of those two access holes. They are actually fastened about two inches above the belly pan. If I recall there are three more obvious mounting holes toward the trailing edge of the plastic belly pan. Hope this helps.

It appears that all of your mounting tabs have been bent 90 degrees.
They should lay flat/horizontal with the screws going up (not forward).
Your spoiler has been curled around where it should be flat on the bottom.
Does that make sense?
Added... Beat by one minute

Sorry, Kurt. I spent about half an hour writing my response and you said basically the same thing in 4 short sentences. I need to work on my economy of word usage.
