How to make a 928 look a bit more like a 2009 Model

I wont disagree with you, they are "classics," if youre refering to age. I mean they made these things in the 70s. However a 1991=classic? Future classic, maybe. But problem is theyve been making them till 1995. How can I see a 1978 928 as a classic, when it looks too much like a 1995? Mustangs suffer the same fate. How can a 1979 mustang be a classic, when it looks too much like a 1993 mustang?
But you know what? They may not look like a classic, but they definitely look OLD! Lucky for 928 enthusiasts, 928s look new, like it was a fresh design. This means it may take even longer to become classic. Something so modern looking, how can you call a classic? Sure, it can be registered as a classic. It can even have classic car insurance, but the car just looks too new. I like fooling with people, and making them guess how old my husbands 928 is. =)
In the future I believe many owners of 928's will want to keep their cars more original.
For me, I want it to look like what it is - an aging car icon.
Still, I must admit I am guilty of modifying my shark, kind of adjusting it more to my taste.
I enjoy driving a car up in the mountains, so I want to take advantage of recent technological progress such as significantly improved tyres.
This means new, updated wheels, and suspension modifications.
I also enjoy the sound of the 928 engine, which means exhaust upgrades (or, rather, downgrades..).
But I like that it still looks like a late 80's high-performance GT, with the original black rear spoiler and yellow indicator lights.
I will never sell off the original wheels, I am also keeping other parts I have replaced.
That way, I can always put it back to original if I want to.

I wanted to keep it so stock that I even kept the oem tape deck. ...Then I got more modern looking rims. Planned on shaving trim and repainting, throwing parts from other models on it.... ....sorta what I did with my mustang. I saved my mustangs wheels thinking that Id swap them if I ever sold the car, or could make it stock, should I have it long enough for it to become a classic. I even still have the original seats... ...but right now, and anyone who went to Julys DFW shark breakfast can tell you, that car is so far from stock, theres no way I can go back. Even the engine isnt even original. But dammit! That BMWs keeping its tape deck, and Im keeping my mustangs seats! =)
