VERY interesting...yes Devek did the rebuild in 2004 and I am quite sure got new mounts then circa 86k miles. But after all this time, makes sense they might have dropped. All the records are in the binder with the car I hope. I kept immaculate records, literally every tank of gas for MPG etc.........
Pls clarify, was the original engine replaced by an other rebuilt engine by Devek?

retarded for more high end power by Marc Thomas. The numbers matching engine was destroyed by the TB failure on the San Mateo bridge. Last time I dyno tested Sharky she made 286whp on a mustang dyno with the intake spacers
I did install an X pipe and it felt even more powerful, but I never got her back to the dyno. I took the X pipe off and sold her with catalytic convertors.
Interesting the harness needed replacement. I did the hall sensor and both knock sensors when I did the intake-flappy service around 2008-9. I thought the harness looked pretty good, much better than the harness in the Widow that was super crunchy.

Brian, I guess I'm living in the past, but the most fun I've had with this hobby was reading about you guys with the 84 car running the 24 hours of Lemons races.
That was a riot. Family would crowd around the computer to re-live the races through the videos.
If you get a chance, maybe you could dredge-up a couple of those old race video posts for all the newbies?

No, devek used a refreshed but not rebuilt engine from another 928. It did NOT have the heads removed, but the valve covers were off and the chain tensioner was serviced along with a full timing belt service with cams set slightly

The harness that was replaced is the one Sean builds that runs from the starter and alternator up to the front of the engine connect various components the main being the 14 pin connector at the jump post.We identified some issues when we did the maintenance items and saw frayed wiring at the starter.......rather than making a 'local' repair and given the cars OEM components being +30 years old the decision to replace the complete harness was made.

Some classics
