Default What's Living in Your 928???

In the final stages of dismantling a '86 Euro that was pulled out of the backwoods of VA... right next to the one in my avatar. I have a few things left to remove, and had decided earlier that I was going to wait as long as possible to remove the carpet while I was crawling around inside the car. Good thing, upon lifting the carpet on the right side I found this!!! (see photo)

This picture doesn't really even show the extent of it, they're all marching in from under the right side quarter.

Never know what's hidden in these things. I guess I'm just happy I haven't found the wasp nest yet....

Just for kicks, what's the strangest thing anyone else has uncovered in their shark?

Ants and larvae- This one had nasty black ground wasps and spiders too. The wasps kept showing up one at a time in the shop over night. Finally I realized they were slowly hatching. What a disgusting sight.

Live mouse extracted from under the wiper motor, going ***-first up the shop vac hose.

And, a couple of big black widows.

Oh, and a rather large skin from a black snake wrapped around the aux fan.

I've had the pleasure of removing a wasp nest from the air horns on an '86. The same car had years of rodent damage in almost every area of the car. Good part was the car only had 23k miles on it (actual) and the customer wanted to save it. It's back on the road now.

Right now, just above my car, in my track helmet, is a handful of newly hatched Wrens that were eggs last week. I just hope they don't **** all over the place. Mom and dad are really sweet though.

Had a black widow living in my wheel arches last year.. and I'm arachnophobic!
Now I have to fumigate the (outdoor) car this year... Anyone done that?

I presume stuff is in there and wear gloves. Its spider season around our house (we live at the base of a hill that is still wild), so webs all over. Every once in awhile we get some orb weavers, spiders about the size of a half dollar coin, that spin large webs between things and sit in the middle waiting for a meal.

Most of the time I would leave them alone, but one morning the web was right across where we walk, going from a tree to a car parked in the driveway. As long as you see the spider its no big deal, and I would walk around, or find a nice stick and relocate the spider to less obtrusive spot in the back yard. Then one morning as I reached out with the stick, the spider scurried down a thread and went right under the door handle on my car. You would be amazed at how well that image is stuck in my head.

My wife catches bugs and feeds the orb weavers trying to grow them big.

I kill at least 1 black widow every two weeks around here.

There's a spider living behind my door mirror, and it makes me a new web every day! The guy never gives up!
