Torque Tube Clamps - Which Is Which?

Torque Tube Clamps - Which Is Which?
Hi,
I'm having my flex plate checked in August, and I remember seeing on here a clamp that didn't require removing the flex plate, it bolted onto the torque tube next to the OE clamp to slow the migration of the tube during use. Can someone point me in the right direction to get one of these clamps?
Many Thanks
Rawky

Actually, Ben didn't answer, he re-directed the question to Roger. Give the guy a break with a little information. PorKen came up with a another model clamp that does not require dropping the torque tube for installation. There was some delay in delivery, but I think he has it now. The earlier model (Constantine's) is more than twice the $$, but probably has some justification. Roger sells both I believe.
Maybe he could post here for all to see what he has and their relative merits, and correct if I misspoke.

Roger has posted up that he no longer carries the Constantine Clamp now that Constantine is a rennlist sponser and providor to the community.
The clamp that he speaks of is yes the one that Porken made, and Roger does carry it, and iirc stated he has them in stock now.
In my books Ben gave him a clear answer to contact Roger regarding this clamp.

Rog100 at 928'sRUs has the non-torque tube drop assistance clamp.
It's the 2 half-U metal pieces clamped just behind the stock clamp held together by 2 allen head bolts.
Wasn't meant to be funny. He's in Texas. But he sure don't sound like a Texan.
And search does really work.

Who pissed in your Cheerios?
"Roger has posted up that he no longer carries the Constantine Clamp now that Constantine is a rennlist sponser and providor to the community." Sorry I missed that particular announcement.
In my book(s), saying "Ask someone else" doesn't really answer the question. It tells you where (else) to ask the question. It provides help certainly.
The guy innocently asks a question, the first two replies do not provide a direct answer. It is obvious that at post #4, Rawky is a little frustrated even though EW gives friendly extra info, from his response I don't think Rawky knows that Roger Tyson is a Brit and has that "accent". This is now way too time consuming.
You seem to have some issue here, perhaps with me. You've corrected me before and that is a good thing. I don't claim to know everything about these MYs I'm glad you set the record straight, and I'm sorry I didn't know Roger doesn't carry Constantine's clamp.

Sorry Steve,
I didn't really mean to come off pissy at all. I just felt that the question had already been answered. And I guess I was alittle snippy as I feel we have had alot of posters recently who have had the questions answered multiple times and simply ignore the advice given.
I guess that this does get to me after abit. I can understand wanting a second opinion, but when a few of the best minds on the board answer a question but then the OP simply doesnt even acknowledge the info, or just brushes it off.
So again, sorry fellows not meaning to sound rude.

And to answer the question about Roger carrying the constantine clamp, and not seeing that he was no longer carrying it.
When Constantine first announced that he was a vendor and would be supplying these pieces now. Roger jumped in on one of the first pages saying he had 2 (iirc) for sale at discounted prices.
A couple people made some comments that they felt it was rude for him to jump into the thread like that. He explained that he was selling them at a lost just to liquidate them as now that Constantine was a vender of his own he would no longer be carrying Constantines products.
I think that this was a very wise move as there was no way that he could have made any real money off of these in the first place, and now that the maker was offering it, there was no room for even enough mark up to cover the added shipping costs.
To be honest one of the things I like about Roger is that he does everything in his power not to gouge us the client. Look at the Porkensioner, he has it for the SAME price that Ken himself sold it for. Except I am very sure that he really cannot be making much money on it, and I am sure he has a high outlay on it. This is one of the reasons that I always am willing to cut this fellow alot of slack!

Dear Colin,
The story you wrote below is a bit off and not totally factual about what happened between Roger and us.
The bottom line is we became a Rennlist sponsor to better service 928ers directly, lower our product costs to 928ers and pay our dues as Rennlist site sponsors since we no longer felt hiding behind other sponsors was right.
In the future we are looking forward to again offer our products through other vendors.
Whatever happened between Roger and us is best left between us. We have made a peaceful accord at this time. We would like to keep it that way.
Kind regards,
Constantine
