I just put them on my 81 928. Like them so far but not many miles on them yet. Got a killer deal at tirerack. I think I paid 450 for all 4 tires.

I have the Hankook Ventus RS212's on the front of my '81. (rear has Toyo TR1's). Front grip is great, not noisy and for wear...if your car is aligned properly as mine is they should last quite a while with normal street driving (928 style). Travelled 12,500miles and they still look new, maybe worn 10% I would say.

17 good recommendations. 1 bad recommendation. LOOKS LIKE A BUY TO ME. 4 years are an eternity when it comes to tire technology. They must have done their home work and come up to speed.
Thanks for your thoughts. I like to hear all sides.

I've got Hancooks all the way around. Not sure of the model as I'm not with the car at the moment. They have a modern v pattern to the tread. The price was very reasonable. The tires perform well for a tire in their price range. I feel they still break sooner than they should, but I drive mountain roads that have reverse banked curves that tend to lift the car's weight off the tires so I'm testing in extreme break points where a stickier tire might do just a little better. Over all I'd rate them 8 out of 10 for all round performance. Don't know about wear yet, but I figure I'll get 15K miles out of them. I think they run a little skinnier for the size than other tires, one thing I do not like. For me fatter is better (I rarely have my beast out in the rain or snow).

I don't like China much myself. They keep loaning our government billions of $ THAT OUR GOVERNMENT FEELS IT HAS TO GIVE AWAY TO RICH BANKERS AND WALL STREET ********, when my friends and neighbors are loosing thier homes and jobs.
