I don't recommend anyone taking apart either the pod switches or the combination (turn/beam/wiper) switches - unless you are certain this is the culprit - you will likely do more harm than good... these are not obvious jobs for the uninitiated (BTDT)... and are rarely the culprits in fact...
TS = turn signal switch
Elex cleaner = electrical contact spray cleaner, made by CRC found at Autozone, red can.
Sorry about the abbreviations
No problem, thanks for the clarification.

Thanks Ron, was your headlight doing wacky things like mine with different relays? I never thought of the ignition and it seems to function fine.
Can anyone help me understand why tapping the installed respective relay would correct the particular problem? I haven't a clue but here is my plan. I'll locate some electrical cleaner and clean everything. 'Cause I have "relay, relay, relay" stuck in my head I'll meet up with Ole and try my relays in his car and see what happens. That should confirm whether the relays are good or not. Otherwise I may have to order more stuff like an ignition switch, headlight switch and hopefully not another H/L relay.
Mike, My thinking is to try the relay from my car in yours as a known working relay so you can go from there with trouble shooting. Call if I can help 403 540 1740
A BIG thanks to Calgary Ole as he saved me time, and more importantly, money! Ole lent me his relay and I tried my headlight relay in his car, mine in his car, etc...It's not the relay.
I have a fried fog light switch but it appears that is an independent circuit to the headlights. Both Ole and I am of the opinion that there is something loose in the central electric (CE) panel. Why else would the headlights function properly when ones taps the headlight relay? Next is to pull the CE panel (again) and dive into that spaghetti nest. I would love to have a conversation with the engineer who designed the 928 electric system!
FYI and I'll keep this thread updated.
EDIT: It was the headlight switch...it's NOT always the relay.
