GTS Keyless Entry

GTS Keyless Entry
This is for my fellow GTS owners.
I used 12 pin connectors from Radio Shack.
Still working out the kinks with the hatch.
I'll post pictures soon.

You say you are working out the kinks with the hatch? I don't follow all of your wiring ideas, but looks like the ground wiring to the hatch circuit could be swapped. Do you think this would work?

Do what Bill showed - what you had seemed messed up...
e.g. you are grounding the brown/white wire (not good)
James - while I understand your sentiments... it is actually quite easy, quite reliable and easily reversible. It is also something Porsche should have done on the 928 well before the GTS.
I'd actually be embarrassed to have a GTS without it and be forced to use the key - how 80's (at best...!)
Porsche didn't get everything right even on the GTS and on the USA models they also installed inferior equipment (e.g. esp. lighting) seems only fair to me to fix the shortcomings in the name of making the car truly great.
Remember a USA model 928 is clearly NOT how the Porsche factory engineers originally conceived the car... it comes with a set of compromises to satify DOT regulations.
I have no qualms about changing my car as long as any changes make it more (ROW) original or are well conceived as genuine functional improvements and are as well implemented as Porsche would have done.

Also, the hatch wiring can be done without actually cutting the red or yellow hatch switch wires. Just pull them off the switch, plug your hatch relay's 87 output into the yellow wire end, leave the red wire unplugged (or use it as a 12V source for the relay's 30 and 86 posts). Find a source for door pin switched ground to attach to the hatch switch in place of the yellow wire. Then plug new hatch switch wire (to the relay's 85 post) into the switch in place of the red wire end.

This what I used:
I cut the brown/white wire at the motor, grounded it to the car body, cut the yellow wire connected it to wire I ran from the front, connected brown/white wire to the yellow wire at the motor.
I left the Red wire at the motor untouched. Maybe that's where I lost you.
Did I misunderstand your drawing?

OK, I now see that my drawing was wrong. I drew it incorrectly. I will revise it.
Boy, do I feel dense.
