Didn't realize the post was part of the frame.
That's double safety.

And double safety wins any day in my book.

Okay... I found the correct buckle ends on eBay from a seller in Oregon. Yet another example of a 911 (964) part on a 928!

Quick review of thread: somewhere in the production of the '89 MY, Porsche redesigned the mounting point of the seatbelt buckle end on the seat frame. No longer would just a shouldered bolt keep it in place... from around mid-'89 (see PET details earlier in thread), a bolt and a post surround would prove to be a safer mount. My '91 seats were missing the buckle ends and the '88s were different.

If you've swapped out your seats for '89 and later pieces... check your mounts!

Here are some pics of the correct set up for my '91 seats:

Although it took finding an eBay vendor on the other side of the country... and paying more for it, I would like to give a sincere thank you to:

Mason and Evan at www.928worldwide.com for their assistance and research into solving my seatbelt safety dilemna!

Thank You, Thank You!

'free advertising regulations' explicitly mean the poster has something to gain -which I don't. I am merely acknowledging the assistance. I could even say 'Thank You to UPS for getting my parts to me in a timely manner' -and still not benefit from the acknowledgement.
Stop making up your own rules Gretch................B
