Ed,

There's spacers out there for Momo wheels.

I've got a spacer on mine.

Thanks Ernest. I had spotted those in the past and will probably end up using one when I get a new wheel as most of the wheels don't have as much dish as the Mod 7 that I have. The spacer is a great option for those that need the wheel closer to them (like the tall guys that have to lie down F1 style with the seat reclined waaay back. Makes it uncomfortable to reach up to the wheel, shifter, controls, etc.

One thing to keep in mind as a possible downside to the dished wheel, or one with a spacer is that it moves the wheel closer to you, but the blinker lever doesn't move with the wheel. So you have a further reach to the levers. It doesn't bother me, I got used to it right away, but I could see how it might by annoying.

The primary reason that I purchased this model is that it has the deepest dish I could find so it puts the wheel much closer to me then the stock, or even the extended hub 928 wheel.

Secondarily, I wanted a smaller diameter steering wheel. The stock steering wheel always felt like a late 70's Mercedes wheel. Oh my god, am I driving a bus or a sports car here?

And wow, what a difference the smaller diameter wheel makes. Its like night and day. The whole car just feels more responsive. I love it.

I'll never go back to the stock wheel. Never. Although I may purchase a "D" shaped wheel with the flat part on the bottom. I'm curious if it will make it easier to ingress and egress my 6'6" frame.
Hi

Yes the square shaped bottom DOES make it much easier when swinging your legs in.....much easier access...its the first thing I noticed with it,,,second thing was as the wheel is fatter than a normal 928 wheel its much more comfortable...

All the best Brett

MoMo jet with 1 inch spacer hub and quick release brings the wheel a lot closer. Alot better for control especially when driving on the track with a helmet on and the seat reclined for head room.I am very happy with this set up

I am ready to put my original wheel back on. I have a small wooden, a large wooden, that looks like a jaguar wheel and a Momo style. I don't like any of them and the non factory just does not feel right. What other Porsche model wheels will fit this 928? I like the 930 looks really good but expensive is this a 15"? Do I have other options that won't cost a fortune?

I have the MOMO Fighter and like the look and feel.
The 930 wheel is thicker and feels even better.
Here's the MOMO
