Default Looking for Steering Wheel recommendations!

I am looking, just looking for a new steering wheel, I have the original, a small wood one, a black one and a huge one looks like it comes from a Jag. I want some options on my 85 euro with tan/black interior and iris blue paint. I remember I saw some other model Porsche Steering Wheels on an 928 but don't remember where. Any recommendations or pictures?

I have this thread bookmarked, and right now a steering wheel is third on my list after exhaust (done shortly), and another bigger item hopefully happening late summer. The one I want is Chuck's wheel in post #5.

Have Champagne make a custom Porsche wheel for you with your choice of leather and stitching.

We could always modify the one on my '47 cub tractor for a smaller fee.

Nothing looks better IMO than the Porsche sport wheel. You can even order it in the same color as your interior.

FWIW I had a Momo Race on my last car and never really liked it because the wheel has an oval cross section. Favorite wheel I've ever had was a 340mm Personal Fittipaldi in my 911SC, round cross section. That's why I like the Atiwe wheel, but it's pricey, especially if I have Paul recover it (and I will).

Tampa,

any wheel can be made to look good. It all depends on your personal preferences.

Here is a very early 928/911 wheel, with my take on it:

Same model with a different treatment in suede:

Here is a custom Momo Club 3:

This is my own wheel:

With leather covered hub:

And these, while not appropriate for your model, can be interesting for the design ideas:

Dark blue leather with engraved script:

Alcantara and classic gray leather with matching shifter:

+1 on the custom Momo. The original 4 spoke isn't for me. Currently have this:

I'm using the Momo Mod 7 (350mm) and love it.

The primary reason that I purchased this model is that it has the deepest dish I could find so it puts the wheel much closer to me then the stock, or even the extended hub 928 wheel.

Secondarily, I wanted a smaller diameter steering wheel. The stock steering wheel always felt like a late 70's Mercedes wheel. Oh my god, am I driving a bus or a sports car here?

And wow, what a difference the smaller diameter wheel makes. Its like night and day. The whole car just feels more responsive. I love it.

I'll never go back to the stock wheel. Never. Although I may purchase a "D" shaped wheel with the flat part on the bottom. I'm curious if it will make it easier to ingress and egress my 6'6" frame.
