Fan came apart
86-SUPERCHARGED
I was driving with two of my kids stopped for a little parts shopping and found the air was not getting cold. I looked and found the temperature rising; it's 95 today and the red warning lamp came on. I was stuck at an intersection and was able to pull over and let the car cool down. I found a fan blade laying on my radiator and the fuse blown. This is my second one has anyone else had this happen, these fans are crap! I had a straight shot to the interstate and canceled the flatbed and made it home. NOW I NEED TO GET A REAL FAN, SPAL ANYONE?

Actually it seems he's not. See below.
Sorry Mark, I misunderstood. And I should have realized that even if you were looking for the inboard side fans you wouldn't be able to use the ones I posted since you have the SC'er.

I have tried two Spal fans. They are both High Flow models, maybe 2000 CFM. They are rated for about 18 amps but keep blowing 20 amp fuses at startup. I went back to my original fan and have it wired to come on whenever the a/c is on. Now that I have a high output alternator, I might beef up my wiring, increase to 30 amp fuses from jump post and ty the Spal again. I had tried Zirgo fans and they kept breaking at the hub. The regular Bosch fan is durable, works pretty well and is available used.

Derale 16516
Zirgo ZFB16S
I have used both of these fans with good relults. The picture looks like a Zirgo ZFB16 and not the next step up ZFB16S. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Lately I have been sending out the Derale fans with the Murf 928 Stage 3 kits.
Why don't you use the original fan?
