Hilarious thread, H!
Heck, I banned myself - well, at least from OT.
Tell ya what, I'll vote to bring Ross back as soon as he pays me back even one dime of what he cost me! One dime would buy my vote!

I gotta say you are one hell of a good person for trying to help Whitefox and again to show forgiveness if he were to ask for redemption.
As others have said many times before. You are an example for us all.
Allright enough of the touchy feely, back to our regulary scheduled program.

Thanks, guys.
Ross is a young man - and most young men do stupid things. And I'm convinced he also has an addictive disease - which is miserably difficult to overcome. I take no pleasure in any person's misfortunes. So I wish him a full recovery and a good life.
I actually spoke with Ross by phone, oh maybe 3-4 months ago or so. Kie - who has been a great friend, ally, and staunch supporter throughout this entire saga - had been retaining the title to Ross' motorcycle until Ross repaid me. This meant, IIRC, that Ross couldn't register or insure the bike.
So Ross called Kie pleading for the title, and Kie referred him to me. Ross then called me asking for a little mercy and promising to make regular payments to pay me back over time if I would intercede and give Kie the "OK" to forward the bike title to Ross.
I did so.
Actually, my decision for doing so was motivated more by my concern for Kie than for Ross. Even though Kie was taking a noble and helpful stance in my behalf, I worried that he might possibly open himself up to some legal issues if he withheld the title after Ross had paid in full for the bike. And I for sure didn't want Kie to find himself in legal difficulty due to his concern for me. Kie has been a great guy through all of this.
So... Ross and I spoke congenially a couple of times over the phone, and of course he made all sorts of promises of repayment if I would give Kie the OK to send him his title.
I honestly do not expect him to ever make good on his promises. But, I'm not going to let that turn into a cancer that continually gnaws at me and won't go away. Life is way too short for that.

Bigs - that was really Big of you. Ross sounds like a person with Big problems. The Biggest lessons learned in life often come through the good we do for others. I am sure one day Ross will give you a Big thank you for your generosity.
As you have posted in another thread that you have four sons and a daughter - a Big Happy Father's Day to you.
Dan
P.S. besides the fun with the word "Big" all comments are sent sincerely.
