Default '89 S4 parts car on Craigslist

I noticed it, and couldn't help myself from calling and asking if the seller was interested in a lower offer. He said, go ahead, I did, and he said "no thank you sir" So someone else will have to find a purpose for it.

Seller said it hasn't run in 10 years (contrary to ad saying otherwise).
Fire was in passenger side interior.
It has a rogerbox in it (automatic).
No title, so unless you are creative, it is a parts car.

I would say to him "good luck with that". If he needs that much for it he will have to part it himself not sell it whole.

That poor car needs some love for sure. But the amount it would take to get going and looking great again, might not be worth it. I wouldnt mind buying parts off it, but no way near that kind of money for the complete.

$4500 is far too much for a non running crispy 928......since the fire was on the passenger side figure the brains are also melted....

It is less than 50 miles from home. Should go there and a look.

For $4500, he'll have it sitting there for another 10 years.

i don't know. I wouldn't pay that much for it, but there are certainly a load of parts that are probably still usable. The fenders, front bumper, and hood all look reasonably intact. Even if the engine doesn't run, there are bound to be useful parts there. Can't see the interior, but the glass doesn't look cracked, so that's something there as well. He could probably get more than his 4500 if he was patient and parted it out, but I agree, I wouldn't buy a parts car for that much when the chances of me needing a full body replacement are pretty slim (because if I do, I'm probably leaving that car in a casket). I'd say the interior would make or break it at a somewhat lower price, and then it would have to be the right color.

Given the photo of the rear I'd say that "it may have a Rogerbox in it." And it also may have a torque tube shoved up the a$$ of the motor.
