Ron and I have a long and pleasant history. Don't tell anybody, but his 'hillbilly' description probably isn't so far from the truth sometimes.

The social wrenching tradition here in SoCal follows a model where the owner has a chance to do his or her own work with extensive support from folks who have done it before, and from folks who also want to learn. Here on the hill, visitors have access to a well-lit service area, a fair selection of tools and supplies, and an enthusiastic support group of other owners. And if you drink Diet Pepsi, you won't be thirsty. We've done 'clinics' for owners too, offering simple things like group brake fluid flushes, brakes, all the way to timing belt services. Upcoming adventures include the aforementioned intake R&R on my car, a Murf supercharger install on Rolf's S4, and an appearance clinic for paint chip repairs. There's a group effort to get Rob's GT motor installed in July, and likely that's a practice session before installing the GB stroker in Rob's GTS.

Likely that we'll be able to squeeze in a brake job someplace in the mix.

I was born and raised in the hills of Arkansas, and it shows.
It is a badge I wear with pride.

Well, my best buddy at work was born and raised in Arkansas and he only sticks out a little here in SoCal.
Wow, Dr Bob you got a pretty full dance card. I'm available at your easiest/earliest convenience, weekend or weekday. Thanks.

No hard date set. His prelim list has the bi-annual smog check alredy checked off. We want to do a baseline confirm that there are no hidden sensor issues so we'll sweep the the boxes for faults. I need to get up to speed on some of the Murf install details too, so we can be sure we have all the pieces before we get seriously into the project. He wants to put in the Porkensioner and replace the cam belt before the kompressor goes on too. It may be a series of mid-week projects the way things are going around here. Lots to do!

Les-

I'll be sure to post here when dates are firmed for stuff here. My intake swap is dependent on some painted parts arriving. I need to get with Rolf to get his stuff started too. OP is ordering all his brake bits, so we'll get that started too.

And I still want a lift. What could I possibly use it for?? K says it won't qualify as a charitable donation. Damn.

Dr Bob, put me in the que. I just recieved my 70lb box from 928 International: rotors, pads, sensors, dampers and lines. Looking forward to an enlightening experience.

Dr. Bob has graciously decided to host my brake job. Didn't know how to move over the post.
