Default WTB windshield mirror and pod bolts

I have a new windshield and need a mirror, also the two long bolts that attach the pod to the dash.

What happend to the old mirror?

Personally I would not buy a stock replacement mirror - for the current times the Porsche mirror is very functionally deficient. Get a Gentex or Donnelly auto-dim mirror instead...

A new Porsche mirror is about $200 you can get either of these cheaper and you can also get lots of additional features built-in for the ~same price (maplights, compass, temp display, onstar, phone control, homelink etc)

PM sent!

The old mirror was taken off by P.O. and I have new windshield with the Porsche mount. Some of those mirrors are a little pricey and I know in Florida what the temperature is "HOT".

Mark, I seem to remember the little metal thingies that those bolts go through, lying on the floor of the parts car. The bolts are probably there too. Your welcome to them if they are.

I haven't seen a mirror but I haven't really looked. I'll most likely work on that car on Sun. ( if I can finish replacing the front suspension on the widebody) I'll check then.

Mark, we have a mirror...and I'm sure we have those bolts too, but I'd need to know what they looked like to find them...

I guess that's not much help. You know how to reach us if you want anything.

The the long bolts that go into the pod the longest one has two rubber bushings with a spacer that the bolt goes through. I also need the bushings they are missing may have been thrown out!

Oh shoot....those are car parts??

I am pretty sure I saw those things here in my packing....thought they were part of some tool.

I will try to find them again....they are in some box here. I do know exactly where the rearview is.

You know some times you just need to beg to have your wife find things for you. I spent a really long time going through the garage looking everywhere to no avail. My wife gets home and explained my predicament and she said she would look for me. Well it took all of five minutes for her to find the bag of pod parts and an hour of me thanking her. In my defense I have built and disassembled my paint booth, painted the car, took it completely apart, moved my vett and 86 out to the front drive and have my brothers car on the lift in pieces.
I have some large restaurant buckets that have migrated from a parts holder to trash bins, I was convinced it was thrown out during all the mayhem.

P.S. I still need a mirror!

Default Mirror

Attached are pics of the mirror we discussed via PM. As you can see there are a few scratches, they look much worse in the close up picture.

$10 plus shipping okay?

Also, attached are photos of the Pod I'm going to try and sell. It was redone by this outfit and is okay, but nothing spectacular like Paul's.

I never installed if after the restoration, but it's been boxed and sitting in my garage for 5 years .
