Very sorry to hear about the total loss.

In the UK it is very unusual to have car insurance that does not cover fire and theft. I think this cover is essential for any aging fuel injected car, which now includes every 928.

The fuel rails may be a little different, but that can be dealt with easy enough.
They are for the most part the same, the big difference is on the inside, the heads and maybe the rods.

It was a spontaneous show of generosity from the community here and she did say thanks but has not gone on to be a contributing member of the community.
Other than her introduction, and a few posts regarding a couple of repair issues, she was never a "contributing member of the community". It's not like she came on here and requested help. Her good fortune was, as you say, a spontaneous gesture by generous members of the forum. Chances are she won't be changing her life style to come "hang out" with her benefactor's.
