Very sorry to hear about the total loss.
In the UK it is very unusual to have car insurance that does not cover fire and theft. I think this cover is essential for any aging fuel injected car, which now includes every 928.

They are for the most part the same, the big difference is on the inside, the heads and maybe the rods.

Speaking of socalgirl, what ever happened to her?
Quite a few of us ponied up either money or time and in some cases both (Mark Anderson and others) to get her back up and running when she had a similar thing happen. She then disappeared back into the electronic ether. It was a spontaneous show of generosity from the community here and she did say thanks but has not gone on to be a contributing member of the community.
