SharkTuner Mk 2
We are delighted to be able to announce the availability of the SharkTuner Mk2.
Dave Roberts gave an excellent demonstration of it at SITM last weekend, and it is featured on his new website branch www.928tuner.com - many thanks to Dave for that great start :-)
ST2 will be available in the USA from DR and also Louie Ott in OR. ROW sales direct to me please.
At present the ST2 is for 87-95 cars, and comes complete with a pair of PEMs and leads for $920 USD or equivalent local currency plus taxes as applicable.
PEMs for LH2.2/EZ-F will be developed if market demand is sufficient.
ST2 has all the features of the PEM version of ST1 but in addition offers -
smaller size; USB connection to laptop giving faster file loading times; 4 programmable input channels which can be monitored and datalogged in real time. Both LH and EZK can be datalogged together.
I will put more information on my wesbite as time permits !
My thanks to Niklas for sticking with this project which has been tough at times, also to Louie Ott and Jim Corenman for testing and encouragement.
Jim is busy developing some supplementary software to use with ST2 which will enhance ST usage. Details to follow shortly, but this product will be demonstrated at the August 928OC Convention in Dallas. The current price of ST2 includes the cost of this additional software, which will be distributed FOC to earlier customers.
Thanks for reading :-)

Excellent John!
Any possibility of extending (and altering) the rpm map programming to account for tuning to higher rpms?
Best,
Marc
PS - will Louis be stocking Pems?

John,
This is great news! Congrats on getting this much anticipated product to market.
Says is works on all 87's. Does this include the early ones without diagnostic cababilities?
Should my early '87 have the 12-way cable?

Thanks ! Some other people have already asked for an extended rpm map to go with more radical cams, so yes, it is in hand.
Louie already stocks PEMs for ST1, which are identical to the ones used in ST2.
$200 a pair.

Thanks Jim. It has taken longer to get this product finished than we intended but we think the wait has been worth it :-)
87 ECUs are the same as later ones, th only difference is the software. Using ST2 with PEMs makes an 87 the sae as later years.
You would use the 12way cable with your car, the 12 way harness is fitted to MY87 as well as MY88.

John,
Great update!
What's it take for numbers to get the ball rolling on the EZ-F version? I believe a lot of 85-86 folks would love to get the ST at that price...including myself

Hello Darien,
We haven't worked out a plan for LH2.2/EZ-F. I guess the best way would be to run a poll, to gauge likely demand. It would add to the cost of the ST2 for that option. New PEMs would have to be designed and brought to production, plus all the software. Also requires a break out box.
You bought an ST1 with LH2.2/EZ-F option - did you sell it to PorKen, or won't he give it back ? :-)

I wrote my own programs to access the LH2² maps/code not available in the ST software.

Hi John,
I bought the EZ-F adaptor but I was using Bill's ST. Now that I moved, the ST isn't as accessible.
