OK Sean, thanks for that feedback. I need to find out how to conduct a Poll and see what upgrade cost is acceptable, and the size of the potential market.

Clearly the two are linked, and we haven't tried to estimate the costs of development yet. ST2 hardware has been designed to be LH2.2/EZ-F ready.

Kudos and a big thanks to John and Niklas for all their hard work on the SharkTuner MK2! We are proud to be 1 of the 2 US distributors for the SharkTuner along with my good friend Louie!

I have been using the SharkTuner MK2 for a few weeks now and they feel even slicker and certainly quicker that the original SharkTuner. I also like the smaller size (literally almost half the size of the MK1) and the USB connection is so much easier to work with. The newer features are great and I look forward to the newer updates coming soon.

We are going to try our best to keep the SharkTuners, extra PEMs, 12-way cables etc. in stock. We already sold our first 3 SharkTuner Mk2 and hope to have more from John in 2 weeks or so. We also have extra PEMs in stock now for those that plan to share a SharkTuner Mk2 with their fellow 928ers.

Also due to the smaller size and lack of external ribbon cables the SharkTuner MK2 will also be easier and less fragile to ship/loan to other fellow 928ers.

Once again a BIG THANKS to John and everyone at JDSPorsche for a fantastic new product... AND for getting the price so low it is now affordable for any serious 928 Performance "junkie".

Hi John, sounds like another great product from JDS. So what are we talking for one of these babies this side of the pond? I haven't seen the exchage rate for a while.

Do you install and set it all up if so required or do i need to take it to some where with a dyno to set it up?

Hi Davey
Thanks. Divide 920 USD price by today's exchange rate (about 1.6:1) and then add VAT at 15%.

You need to fit a WBO2 system to your car, then you can tune both ECUs on the open road. I can supply the TechEdge 2J1 WBO2 system.

Suggest you read the ST1 manuals for LH2.3 and EZK, and the PEM USer Manual that are available on my website. I will put a new page for ST2 on there in a few days time, complete with a copy of the ST2 User Manual.

Very cool stuff! I'd be very interested for my '86 if you intend to make it... although I really need to figure out a good way to get knock sensors on the car. I'd much rather do this than switch to Megasquirt, but with my limited knowledge of this stuff, how could I monitor pre-detonation?

another anxiously waiting for an '85-'86 version ST2 !!!

Agree with Red that MS conversion is a viable option to ST1, due to simple $$ consideration, but a sub-$1000 ST2 version would be a sure thing for many of us early 32V'ers.

As previously stated, there would be an added cost for the 85/86 ST2 option, so the total would be more than $1000. Until we do a feasilbilty study we can't do a development costing.

However I am encouraged by the interest in that option.

The more ST2's of the current version we sell, the more the costs of the 85/86 version can benefit from volume production of the basic box.

PoKen has successfully added a knock sensor to a 85/86, then use a Knocklite which gives an outptu that can be linked into an EZ-F.

You have that way backwards. If you have seruious problems even considering this before the wedding, you'll be testing "richer and poorer" buying it after the bells toll.

Living in a community property state, you'll quickly learn that it's her money even though you earn it, it's hers to spend or dole out to you in carefully-measured increments, and that her priorities trump yours. In short-- Keep your money separate, and conribute to a pool account for common needs and expenses. And unless you feel a need to legitimize the kids, don't get married. There is no other reason. Especially if she doesn't share your love of whatever it is you love and she doesn't.

On the SharkTuner--

There's a plenty good sized pool of area owners there who could easily justify the expense of a new one, and add a PROM burner and a stack of blanks once your tuning is determined. I think Jim M has one in your area, and you might be able to rent it for a lot less than the costs of new ownership. You don't need to marry the darn thing to use it.

I think you took that a little too seriously. But in a sense I"m saving up for something else too right now besides a wedding band....a house.

As for the car, she doesn't care about about it as long as I keep hers running
