If you're gonna have one of those, may I suggest several divisions:

NA w/LSD
NA w/o LSD
FI w/LSD
FI w/o LSD (aka the eternal burnout division, where they could compete for the Bill Ball Cup...uh, scratch that, it doesn't sound right)

Here's 3 pics of me during a run that shows me traversing the cones.

They are a blast to watch even if you don't run the coarse.

That is by far the most awsome autoX course I have ever seen. I would love to see that in real time, without the added sound track.

+1 been an autocrosser for many years, but as soon as I heard the soundtrack I closed the window. Got one with just the engine sounds?

I understand you need helmets for participation - is this correct in this case?

Yes and at least in my region, SA2000 helmet and probably '05 by now. Some regions permit M-rated helmets but you'll have to check with the local folks. Helmets for passengers too. Go for it Roger, autocrossing is a blast!

Hi Kim,
Could you check with the PCA as to what the rules are with respect to helmets please?
Thanks,
Roger

A helmet would be required, currently either an SA 2000 or 2005 version. I bought one online at www.JEGS.com for $80+/-. At our event the PCA people brought some as loaners too.

I don't know much about how these events function but do we have to do a sanctioned event? Can't we just set something up in a parking lot that someone would be willing to let us use?

Thanks,
Here's the link to the one I mentioned:
http://www.jegs.com/p/Zamp-Helmets/Z...62364/10002/-1

Nothing fancy, but it works just fine for the purpose. It comes with a helmet bag to keep it in too.
