Default Nice OB on Ebay

Looks like a nice looking car in good overall cosmetic condition.

Not sure if the mileage is accurate and the pictures don't really focus on the wear areas nor are they large enough.

Certainly worth investigating in person

Auto transmission in the description and yet the rest of the description shows a 5spd. Nice!

I don't buy the mileage either. You wouldn't expect a torn seat and paint crazing, or whatever happened to the headlight base with only 26,000 miles.

Seller says that the odometer "shows" 26,000 miles. Words chosen carefully, I'm sure.

Also says powerful 5.0 liter engine, but it is either a 4.5/4.7 depending if it a real euro S or not.

Hi Everyone,

Checked the car out on CarFax and AutoCheck, clean, but no information on or showing of the cars milage over the years. Car has always been in IL its whole life, thats a good sign.

you might want to check the engine code
M29/10 = auto ROW non S version 271 HP
M28/09 = 5 speed ROW non S version 271 HP

M28/12 = auto = 300 HP
M28/11 = 5 speed = 300 HP

Its a cool looking car, I like the wheel combo with the white paint.
It's also very close to my Australian delivered 928, well....195 cars earlier going by the VIN.

That is my car's twin brother, mine has a VIN 234 cars higher than this. It has the same 911 seats distinctive to the '81 euro non-S. It also lacks the cooling ducts for the (S) brakes, that gives it away as a non-S. I bet it has no cruise control, no lamps in the doors, no rear sun flaps, no intensive washer, no rear storage or AC.... and weighs 3100 lbs.

It is the M28/09 as Mrmerlin says, which is neither the old 4.5L nor the full blown euro S. It is something in between, and a really sweet little engine.

It would be the same engine as yours gryffalo - M28/09 is 4.5L manual trans 10:1 compression 240BHP.

My car is the same with those lightweight 911 seats, the lack of brake cooling ducts (although it has the 'S' brakes), no cruise, no lamps in the doors, rear sun flaps were optioned up on mine, I have headlamp washers but no tank at the from of the engine bay, no rear A/C or storage as well. Dont know how much mine weighs in at though.
