The Parade always has a couple of vetts but mostly Mini's, Jaguars and Alpha's.

Ive participated in Flower Mound, Coppell, and Highland Village Parades. I assumed Double Oak would be a lot like HV, in that its just a bunch of kids on their bikes with flags. Coppell is a bit more, um, "patriotic." Last time I participated, the Grand Marshal was the Governor... ...And By Governor, I mean, George W Bush. Doesnt matter if you like him or not, to have the future president lead your parade, wow... ...besides, remember how patriotic everyone got after 9/11?

Keep the Alphas and the Jags, we can toss the vetts and mini's.... fill everything in with 928's.

First, I wanted to say, my wife Ummyeahok and I enjoyed meeting all of you and talking cars.
Secondly, I wanted to say, I got it to start today! Shot engine harness, cleaned every engine ground, and then had 6 bad relays. (Including fuel pump, Jetronic, and Ignition!) Drove me crazy trying to diagnose it, because it had no fuel, then it wouldn't start even when I jumpered the fuel pump relay, and then the fuel pump itself ran fine. I was testing for spark with a timing light, but after hours of crawling all over this thing in the sun on Saturday AND Sunday, I foolishly let my timing light cables get too close to the radiator fan and promptly thrashed it before I could tell that there was no spark.
Finally, decided today to pull and test each and every relay on the board. Almost stopped when I found the ignition one bad, but I forced myself to complete the task, then reached over and started it from the passenger seat.
I am one happy running-928 owner right now!

Yeah, when you drop a couple thousand on a car that doesn't run, every day until it runs you wonder if you've made an enormous mistake. Not that it might not still be, but the odds are definitely shifting!
