Default My 928 Paint Restoration...and other projects

I've had some inquiries of when I was going to start this thread for others that are interested in our services... so here you go! This thread includes some, but not all of my 928 take-down, paint and reassembly. Also, of other interest is the 911 G50 Cab, that came in for an engine refresh and suspension upgrade...and wound up staying for a full paint. Also the sweet 951 we picked up in Odenton, MD for a song. Enjoy...and feedback appreciated. There is no finals of the 928 until tomorrow night...because the pics that were taken, didn't come out well. We will be posting those pictures post cut and buff tomorrow night. Rick and I do all cars, not just Porsches, so long as they are cool.

Regards,

Kevin

PS: It is only allowing me to upload 15 pictures at a time...bear with me...I will try to upload the rest in my next few posts...

I have to say...I did NOT take these pictures personally. The image quality isn't as good as it could be in some of them. I just resized them and uploaded them for Kevin...

Great project! I'm doing the same with the rear quarter panels on my 91 S4. Really looking forward to the end result. Should be a stunner.

So what happened to that widebody you picked up here in FL? I see it in one of the pics but I thought you sold it (twice).

On these two Porsches the objective was to achieve the factory finish, so no expense was spared. The system was DC 9700 Concepts on both. The 911 got Grand Prix white, while the 928 got the blackest black we could mix. The last coat of the 9700 got a 50% clear mix. As you probably know, the downside is it will be too soft to cut for a few weeks, but when I do....

Hey Shawn, it stayed in the family. My partner Rick bought it.
