You are kidding right Andrew?
Or you have never had a wind up watch. One of the two.

Wasn't sure if "winding" meant to spin the crown, or to get the counter weight to spin around a few times. It was ticking when I got it and I've been wearing it so much it has only stalled out once, and I just slapped it on and didn't realize it had stopped until I looked at the time, but by then it was runnung again. Just wanted to know for future reference.

It's like changing toilet paper rolls, only much smaller.

Jeff,
I'm glad AO asked because I didn't know either. This was my first automatic.
Keep in mind, up 'til recently, there was no discussion that this watch was a "wind-up".
I wasn't aware the two terns were mutually exclusive.

The correct tool to use is a watchmaker's pin remover as shown below. Using a jeweller's screwdriver may yield similar results however there's always a chance that you may scratch or gouge the watch case.

Some "automatic" watches CAN NOT be hand wound, this AUTOMATIC watch CAN be hand wound and as long as you are wearing it (or have it on the winder that Chris sells) you won't ever need to hand wind it after the first time. There are some watches you MUST wind, they are NOT automatic watches. Of course the cheap and easy way out is the battery powered quartz watch, but who wants one of those nasty things!

Different strokes for different folks. High quality movement (Swiss auto), high quality build (German), cool unique and limited edition face that CLEARLY evokes the 928 w/o being to bling-y or over the top, PRICELESS... Of course I am VERY biased...YMMV.

Is there a link to this winder?

You can search for automatic watch winders on Amazon or any other large internet retailer if there isn't somewhere local you can buy one. Chris at Valencia time center (no affiliation, just got my 928 watch from him) has them on his site.

http://www.valenciatimecenter.com/index.php?cPath=76 is his site. There is a 2 watch winder on there.

Amazon (I don't post my affiliation here) has them as well. Use "automatic watch winder" in your search.

Personally, I would use Chris as he provided the watch for me. I have many automatics and don't bother using one. I wear them in rotation and just wind those that run down before I get around to wearing them again.

We can't please everyone. At least they weren't too harsh.

Thanks
We carry Wolf Design winders and now also carry Steinhausen winders as well.
I will have the site updated, the winder inventory is a bit stale

I picked up one of these tool set for $7.00. Has everything you need and then some. Now I change my own batteries and remove links piece of cake.

Using garage picks and hammers yielded less than desirable results in the past. An old mouse pad is handy to have on you work surface.

For $78, this older model Wolf is pretty hard to beat brand new:
