Of course it is OK, we have always tried to make Sharks in the Mountains about the people first, the 928s are just what brings us together.

Just had to cancel my hotel room at the Best Western. So if anyone needs the room, one just came available. Our family vacation got moved this year to 5/31-6/6 and I doubt that after driving 7+ hours home on Saturday that anyone will want to just continue right up to NC. But I'll be thinking about everyone while sitting on the beach, if it's any consolation.

FYI, Another unrelated group that had some rooms blocked off at the Best Western canceled so another 15 rooms have opened up as of a few days ago.

I just got news today that we will be debuting and demonstrating a long awaited new product from one of our fantastic 928 Product Manufacturers at Sharks in the Mountains.

This will be the World Premier and release of a product that will make a late model 928 (87-95) "be all it can be" and is financially within the reach of every serious 928 performance enthusiast!!

Oh, I can't believe I also forgot to mention the most exciting news for this years Sharks in the Mountains!

Our local city Spruce Pine voted in beer, wine, and liquor sales a few months ago, we are no longer a dry city!

No more long trips to get beer for our traditional Saturday night party at my house. There is a store less than a 1/2 mile away that is fully stocked!!!

We're having visitors that weekend who I really don't care about, but I did cancel my reservation - just trying to be polite - and now a bunch of rooms have opened up. Am I being spoken to?

And Fraggle (or anyone), if you do make it, on the way home, if you take the BRP north, detour off east on VA 56 (you can get to 151 or 29N if you keep going - just depends on how much fun you want to have). It's another goat track, but with a difference: a great bar about halfway down the mountain on the left. Lots of bikers - and babes, although of course I am too old to even look at them , looked fun but I was going to fast to stop so I can't say more.

Booked my room at the Smoketree last Friday. Andrew busted my ***** because I wasn't staying at the Best Western. I wanted a kitchenette, and the quilted comforter is to die for.
More than likely I'll be hanging with you hounds at the BW anyway.

None-the-less, if anyone's looking for a room, mines a suite with a pull-out couch. It would be something like $95 for 2 nights, out the door.

I'm getting really excited! Haven't been in 6 years. Since right after I bought Chewy. And this is MY vacation this year, as the family vacation is on the burner.

Don't know if the dinner trek is to Marion again, too bad Mapquest says it's 1.5 hours to take the curvy curvy road to Spruce Pine from Marion. (60 miles) (Marion --> Tablerock --> Spruce Pine)
Marion is just offscreen at the bottom.




Curvy curvy drive right after a great full meal. May not be that good an idear.

I'm 0 for 3 at attending this event. I just found out that my daughter will be running in a huge track meet that day.

I've had to cancel this trip every year for the past 3.

Maybe next year!
