I am trying to figure the difference on the two units:
Am I correct the the one on my 86 uses a different rubber pressure insert depending on the boost level. With the Begi unit you have to adjust the unit until you dial it in, is that true?
That said would the best way is add lager injectors with a adjustable fuel regulator and shark tune it.
P.S. When will a tuner be available for rent?

What's the point? You are never going to buy a kit, you are still a troll around here that was banned for threatening a moderator (and others) yet somehow allowed back when IB took over:

What are you looking for here? Why not share if you have some specific technical details?
I'm sure Tim is refraining from specifics to avoid bashing other kits / products. Why do I say that? Because my experience with the BEGI unit was very similar to Tim's.
It's now in the garbage (or land fill) and I will never touch one of them again.
IMO they are junk and three different dyno shops (or was it four) I took my car to (while the BEGI was installed) all suggested step one to fixing my fueling problems was dumping the BEGI unit.
They were correct, and the Vortec unit is still installed on my car. 100% trouble free since the day it was installed.

Tell ya what; why don't you explain the differences, it will be more entertaining.
I'll give you 3 attempts and if I think you are incorrect I will offer an explanation. Sound good?

If you want to get rid of the FMU, going with the Stage 3 chips would be a good thing to do.
We ran a Stage 1 on Shane's car and maxed out the stock injectors so the Stage 1, the way it is today is about as far as you want to take it. You might be able to get away with a little more boost on the Stage 3 tune with no intercooler.
