Afshin,
Thought you would appreciate this. The Panamera color is yatching blue, it looks identical to Marine Blue. I emailed one of the PCNA guys the picture below of my old S4, and his comment was how great it would have been if they had both been the same color (then he said it wouldn't have worked in the shot, likely because then the 928 would look that much better than the Pan, lol!)

Unfortunately, different time of day and exposure. Marine has such different qualities in different lights, but in person the first thing I asked was if it was Marine Blue. As I have said before, probably my favorite colors among so many greats.

perryS4, you are right about Jeff Zwart and you would know. You can check out this website, look to the left under commercials, and scroll to Jeff Zwart's name. There is a composite of some of his recent work, including a Porsche commercial from last year. This is the kind of work we can expect, nice!

Great post.

Looks like a fun time. I believe that is the same Cayenne Turbo they used to film the movie Transformers. Amazing what they can do.

Can't wait to hear your overall opinion of the Panamera. Scary that the turbo can outperform a 959 at the ring not to mention a bunch of other great cars. I expected the Panamera to be a lot larger than the 928 although from the angle of the shot it doesn't appear to be that much bigger.

So the Panam is a sedan??? I thought it was a follow up to the 928... I saw a concept once where it had similar tail lights as an OB.

WOW Very Cool. I cannot wait to see the commercial. Me being a TV Production and Broadcasting Guy I would have loved to be there for that. Sounds like it was a lot of fun.

The Panamera color looks awesome. It looks just a shade lighter than Marine Blue, really nice!

Are you sure you can post that picture of the Panam, we all can get a peek of what is in the background.

Looks like it will be an awesome commercial!

May have gone to far with the Pan picture, but since it was background thought only those interested would notice, lol!

The color is deep like Marine, just too much exposure in the shot. I was told by the PCNA guys that the two Panameras present at the shoot were the only ones in North America. They might be flying some in for Monterey, they will want to make a good impression there especially with the disturbing VW/Porsche news just announced this past week.

The Panam was the only public released model information. A two door followup (928) is purely rumor and speculation driven. It has been said that making the 2 door version would be a logical step. Concept art is all we have of a 2 door version. I hope it is going to be called a 928, but that is probably far fetched.

This one looks like the making of a great biography of Porsche automobiles. Seems to big of an undertaking to be just a 1 minute commercial. Since their all at the same location, it sounds like you can rule out an action movie.
Whatever it is, I want a copy of it to watch!

If Ford brings back the Edsel and GM makes a Corvair maybe Porsche (VW) will revive the 928 model name.....Remember the 928 was a failed attempt to replace the 911. Porsche lost a ton of money on 928s. Plus the vast majority of Porsche Owners choose not to own a 928....

The casche (sp) is only diminished by an imitation. Of course it would be flattering, but who needs it.

Cool Jim - I never thought of us driving the equivalents of Edsels and Corvairs! Those 911s don't look so bad after all

It is easier to conform and follow the crowd but if you drive what YOU like and could care less what OTHER people think ......the 928 works just great ! A marketing failure perhaps but you know there is something about a 928 that makes you smile. You either get it or you do not ! Trying to explain that to those who do not is a waste of time Right now I am in need of some 928 track time find my self day dreaming about it .....driving the track in my head and every downshift is perfect !
